JKL Mouldings Ltd is a BSI registered, plastic injection trade moulder, based in Meadowfield, County Durham. We are one of the regions largest, independent trade moulders with a site totaling over 60,000Sq ft and annual turnover of over £5m.
Our current owner Neil Brooks, took sole control of the company back in 2001, from his father Kevin. Kevin was one of the original founding members of the company back in 1971. The site itself consists of office buildings, production area, toolroom, assembly and paint departments, metrology department and 900 euro pallet bay warehouse.
We are able to fully manage and guide projects through initial design phase, including product feasibility, right through to trial, approval and mass production. We can also manage the transfer of existing work, getting the tools prepped, assessed, trialed and refurbed if need be, ready to be validated in our presses.
The production area has 27 injection moulding machines, ranging from 35T to 850T most with automation, we also have a blow moulding cell. With continuous investment over recent years, all plant equipment is less than 10 years old. A comprehensive array of ancillary equipment, including hot runner controllers, hydraulic valve gate controllers and dehumidifying driers, allows us to run complex tooling and engineering grade polymers.
With an onsite toolroom and preferred toolmaker on the same estate, we are able to quickly and efficiently complete any repairs, modifications or simply perform routine maintenance tasks with very short lead times.
Our comprehensive assembly department with over 20 individual workstations are able to carry out almost every post production process that you may require. Including, sonic welding, multi-part assembly, hot melt gluing, painting, electrical assembly, pad printing, labelling, inspection…….the list goes on.
Full traceability of all product through our factory is achieved with QR code lot tracking as standard. Flowing into our 900 Euro pallet bay warehouse which is covered with a comprehensive MRP system. This allows the most efficient and robust control of our entire supply chain.
